No. We do however have two hotels in the area, Hotel Verde and Road Lodge Cape Town International Airport.

Do you offer bursary?

Is a Red seal trade test the equivalent as an OPITO Rigger Assessment (stage 3)?
No. A red seal trade test is not an equivalent of an OPITO Rigger Assessment, learners need to do Rigger Initial Training (previously stage 1 & 2).
Am I able to work around the world with an OPITO certificate?
Yes
Can I do all the stages at the same time?
No. Although Rigger Initial Training (previously stage 1&2) has no Prerequisites, Rigger Assessment (previously stage 3) and Rigger Reassessment (previously stage
4) does.
Rigger Assessment (previously stage 3):
(a)
A valid OPITO-approved Rigger Initial Training Certificate
and
(b)
A fully completed and valid OPITO Rigger Workplace Experience Logbook and supporting evidence each of the 10 tasks, such as a copy of the lifting plan, permit or tool box talk, based on the OPITO Rigger Initial Training Standard and Rigger Workplace Experience Logbook requirements, which has been signed as true and valid by the employing company head of discipline or the employing company discipline manager and confirmed by the Centre as being present and correct prior to assessment taking place. Or

A OPITO Approved Rigger Competence Assessment or Reassessment Certificate awarded within the previous 30 months*

Can I do the training/Assessment online?
No. OPITO Rigger and Banksman and Slinger require learners to Plan, Prepare, Lift and Move Loads.
