Course Objectives:

OPITO FOET CA-EBS: This Product provides learners with the opportunity to practice and demonstrate emergency response skills which are not possible to practice during drills, exercises and emergency training offshore. OPITO Rigger Assessment: This Product is to establish that the learner has the required underpinning knowledge, understanding and practical skills to fulfill the role of Rigger safely and effectively. OPITO Rigger Reassessment: This Product is to establish that the learner has maintained the competence requirement for the Rigger role. OPITO Banksman & Slinger Assessment: This Product is to establish that the learner has the required underpinning knowledge, understanding and practical skills to fulfill the role of Banksman & Slinger safely and effectively. OPITO Banksman & Slinger Reassessment: This Product is to establish that the learner has maintained the competence requirement for the Banksman and Slinger role.

Course Length:

4 days: OPITO FOET CA-EBS is a one day course, OPITO Rigger Assessment or Reassessment is a 2 day course and OPITO Banksman & Slinger Assessment or Reassessment is a 1 day course.

Validity:

OPITO FOET CA-EBS is valid for 4 years. OPITO Rigger Assessment or Reassessment is valid for 2 years. OPITO Banksman & Slinger Assessment or Reassessment is valid for 2 years.

Prerequisites:

FOET (CA-EBS) is open to persons who have a valid (in-date) OPITO-approved BOSIET (with CA- EBS), BOSIET(with EBS), TBOSIET, FOET (with CA-EBS), FOET(with EBS) or TFOET certificate.

Rigger Assessment is open for persons who who have a valid (in date) OPITO Rigger Initial Training certificate having successfully completed the OPITO Rigger Initial Training Standard and Rigger Workplace Experience Logbook and gathered the required evidence OR expired OPITO Rigger Assessment or Reassessment certificate by 6 months or less and wish to become OPITO-certified competent riggers.

Rigger Reassessment – is open for persons who have a valid (in date) Rigger Assessment or Reassessment certificate and wish to renew their OPITO Rigger Competence or Rigger Competence Reassessment certificate

Banksman & Slinger Assessment is open for persons who who have a valid (in date) OPITO Banksman & Slinger Initial Training certificate having successfully completed the OPITO Banksman & Slinger Initial Training Standard and Banksman & Slinger Workplace Experience Logbook and gathered the required evidence OR expired OPITO Banksman & Slinger Assessment or Reassessment certificate by 6 months or less and wish to become OPITO-certified competent Banksman & Slingers.

Banksman & Slinger Reassessment – is open for persons who have a valid (in date) Banksman & Slinger Assessment or Reassessment certificate and wish to renew their OPITO Banksman & Slinger Competence or Competence Reassessment certificate

Fitness:

A good standard of general fitness is required – learners will complete a medical fitness questionnaire at the centre at the commencement of the courses.

Certificate:

You will get three certificates on successful completion of Refresher Pack Two: OPITO FOET CA-EBS, OPITO Rigger Assessment or Reassessment and OPITO Banksman & Slinger Assessment or Reassessment.

Course Content

The Refresher Pack Two  includes three courses: OPITO Further Offshore Emergency Training (FOET) CA-EBS, OPITO Rigger Assessment or Reassessment and OPITO Banksman & Slinger Assessment or Reassessment (previously stage 3/4).

You will need to do these courses before your OPITO BOSIET CA-EBS , OPITO Rigger Initial Training and OPITO Banksman & Slinger Initial Training certificates expire OR before your OPITO FOET CA-EBS, OPITO Rigger Assessment or Reassessment and OPITO Banksman & Slinger Assessment or Reassessment expire.

These three courses need to be completed within 6 months of each other.
