Checkout and make payment to Offshore Africa Training Centre using the banking details provided on your order. Once the funds have cleared in our account, we will register you with MINTRA to do the course you have ordered. You will then receive an email link from Mintra allowing you to access your e-learning portal.  You need to allow yourself 5 hours to do the online course. As soon as you have completed the course, Mintra will email you a completion certificate, where after OPITO will email you an official OPITO certificate a few days later.

Prerequisites:

Learners must possess:

  1. a) A valid OPITO IMIST Initial or valid OPITO IMIST Further training certificat

Or

  1. b) A valid OPITO Vantage number And

c) Have previously worked offshore*

*Learners are required to complete a declaration prior to course commencement confirming prior offshore work experience, including details of their last offshore trip, to include asset name, location and dates.

This OPITO-approved course can be completed online with identity verification. Before you can access the course, you will be asked to complete an identity verification check followed by an OPITO registration form. The course cannot be accessed until both steps are completed.

For the identity verification check, you will need a picture ID, such as a passport or driving license, and a smartphone.

Internet Access – Users will need a computer or device with a web browser and an internet connection.

System – Runs on desktop computers and tablets. Microsoft Windows 7, 8 and 10 and MAC OS. Apple Tablets running IOS 11

Fitness:

There are no specific medical requirements for this course, although personnel must have a current offshore medical certificate before being allowed to work offshore

Certificate:

OPITO IMIST (International Minimum Industry Safety Training) Further – On completion of the course, you will automatically receive a Mintra certificate and this will then be replaced with the OPITO – approved certificate usually within two business days.

This Product covers the key safety elements required by all employees working in the energy industry. It also ensures the knowledge and understanding of these basic safety elements are maintained and current amongst the existing workforce
