OPITO Combined Rigger and Banksman & Slinger Initial Training (Stage 1 & 2)
This course allows delegates to complete both Rigger and Banksman & Slinger Initial Training in a period of 5 days.
The OPITO Rigger Initial training courses are widely recognised as the industry standard training for offshore rigging and lifting operations and is suitable for those who have little or no training or experience. A Banksman and Slinger is responsible for ensuring safety during crane and slinging operations and the OPITO Banksman and Slinger Initial Training course provides delegates with basic knowledge of the activities associated with the combined roles.
Two Workplace Experience Logbooks (stage 2) will be given to you at the end of course (one for Rigger and one for Banksman & Slinger). This task-based logbooks need to be completed by you while you are working offshore and before the expiry date of your Initial Training certificate (i.e. within 2 years).
