As this is an online course, you can do it anytime!

Click on the ADD TO BASKET button which will take you to your basket where you can check you have booked the correct course. Checkout and make payment to Offshore Africa Training Centre using the banking details provided on your order. Once the funds have cleared in our account, we will register you with MINTRA to do the course you have ordered. You will then receive an email link from MINTRA allowing you to access your e-learning portal.  You need to allow yourself 4 hours to do the online course. As soon as you have completed the course, MINTRA will email you a completion certificate, where after OPITO will email you an official OPITO certificate a few days later.

 

Course Content

This Product covers the key safety elements required by all employees working in the energy industry. It also ensures the knowledge and understanding of these basic safety elements are maintained and current amongst the existing workforce

Fitness:

There are no specific medical requirements for this course, although personnel must have a current offshore medical certificate before being allowed to work offshore

Certificate:

OPITO MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training) Further – On completion of the course, you will automatically receive a Mintra certificate and this will then be replaced with the OPITO – approved certificate usually within two business days.

Validity:

4 years

Prerequisites:

Learners must possess:

a) A valid OPITO IMIST Initial or valid OPITO IMIST Further training certificate.

Or

b) A valid OPITO Vantage number And

c)Have previously worked offshore*

*Learners are required to complete a declaration prior to course commencement confirming prior offshore work experience, including details of their last offshore trip, to include asset name, location and dates.

Course Objectives

To achieve the International Minimum Industry Safety Training (IMIST) Further, the learner will need to complete the 9 mandatory units.
